How to Choose a Corporate Name
When choosing a corporate name, make it short and punchy. Ideally, a corporate name should be less than 20 characters:
- Make it one or two words plus the legal ending
- Inc. and Corp. are the most common legal endings
- There’s no legal difference between Inc., Corp., Ltd., Incorporated, Corporation, and Limited
- Professional Corporation is for regulated professionals
- Make sure that you can get a .ca domain name that matches your proposed corporate name without the legal ending
